So today (technically yesterday) I got a phone call from someone with a very thick accent. I pretty much missed most of the conversation but here's what I did get from it:
- Girl calling is doing production design
- Student film
- Pays
- "High fashion" look
- Email your resume to said email address
So I got off the phone with a kind of "whatever" attitude and sent off the email.
Now, it's been a few hours and I got an email from the producer asking to meet up or talk about the project sometime soon. Great. I don't know anything about it really so I clicked on the website to check out the synopsis and do a little spying on the main crew.
Here's what I got:
- AFI film, with a really fancy website (this is in comparison to the other AFI websites I've seen)
- Writer/director, Producer, DP, Editor, and Story Editor are all extremely good looking people
- Said people from above are almost all from a foreign country, have done something incredibly awesome pertaining towards their current skill, and all around are much cooler than I am
- I pretty much stopped there, I couldn't look anymore
I emailed him back but suddenly I feel very inadequate for the job. The goal is to show up, somehow be 1000x more amazing than I really am, and then be besties with them all so I can jump on their seemingly inevitable future success train.
Okay, first is land the job.
